
MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and BC3 2022 is honored to present Robert D. Warren, MD, MBA, FACP with the BC3 2022 Scott L. Spear, MD Tribute Award.
Dr. Robert Warren is a medical oncologist who has focused his career on the evaluation and treatment of patients with breast cancer and those who are at an increased risk of developing breast cancer. He is Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Dr. Warren is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. He completed his fellowship in medical oncology in the Medicine Branch of the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, where his interest in breast oncology was further enhanced.
In 1995, Dr. Warren joined The Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center as its Clinical Director. Among the projects he facilitated, he views the establishment of the Betty Lou Ourisman Breast Health Center as a truly unique, highly significant contribution to the care of patients in the Washington metro area. He was privileged to be the Co-Director of the Center for many years and continues as a consultant . He remains active in the medical oncology and internal medicine teaching programs.
During his tenure at MedStar Georgetown, Dr. Warren also completed a MBA degree from Johns Hopkins University. He has been recognized as a Fellow in the American College of Physicians.
